Custom N35-N54 Grade Circle Neodymium Magnets Sintered Ndfeb Magnets
Over time, neodymium magnets will corrode after exposure to oxygen and moisture. Fortunately, there is a coating available for neodymium magnets. The coating is a protective barrier that prevents oxygen and moisture from reaching the neodymium material of the magnet. All shapes of magnets are coated with a nickel layer to prevent rusting.

1. Neodymium magnets are made of Neodymium, Iron and Boron. If left to the elements, the iron in magnet will rust.
To protect the magnet from corrosion and to strengthen the brittle magnet material, it is usually preferable for the magnet to be coated.
2. There are a variety of options for coatings, but nickel is the most common and usually preferred. Our nickel plated magnets are actually triple plated with layers of nickel, copper, and nickel again. This triple coating makes magnets much more durable than the more common single nickel plated magnets.
